Coaching Methodology

Action orientated coaching requires theoretical and evidence based frameworks to assist clients in their journey towards personal vision and goal attainment. Positive Psychology provides measurement tools and interventions to aid such a process. The goal of the intervention is increased happiness and well being.
At Simply Change Coaching the emphasis is on increased performance, whether its behavioural, practical or emotional change. The performance measurement is self directed at all times, the Coach is there merely to facilitate the changing thought process.
What is Performance?
- Goal orientated action that produces measurable change resulting in optimal functioning for an individual – this is known as Flow!
- Flow is the inner experience in which attention is invested in a realistic goal, the pursuit of the goal brings order in awareness because a person must concentrate attention at the task at hand. This period of struggle to overcome challenges and once gaining control cannot but grow a person into a more complex being. By stretching skills and aiming towards higher challenges it ultimately develops individuals and increases their capabilities to ensure the highest level of performance at which that individual can operate at any given point in time.
Why focus on Flow?
- Flow is ever changing, adapting and promotes optimism and a natural resilience.
- Flow is a product of motivation and mental stamina.
- Motivation is the inner state that energises, activates, and directs the behaviour of an individual as he or she strives to attain a goal.
The Focus of Simply Change Coaching
